Jaddy was given to me when she was about 4 years old. She had previously been used as a breeding cat, and was subsequently kept outside in a breeding pen. When she came to me she was a nervous but very loving cat. Slowly she became more friendly and relaxed, and was joined by leo and Sugar whom she became best friends with. Over the years she showed just how much love she had to give. She enjoyed nothing more than cuddling up to me and my husband, and also the other cats Leo and Sugar. She had so much affection to give up until the last few days of her life. Sadly at almost 12 years old she became very ill and stopped eating and drinking. She was taken straight to the vets, who tried everything to save her. She needed to be taken for an emergency operation. Before the operation I kissed her little head and told her I loved her, she started purring in her sweet little way even though she was so poorly. She looked me in the eyes and it felt like we were saying goodbye, tragically we were. At 10.30pm 12.11.08, during the operation, she was taken from us and my heart broke. Hopefully in time it will heal but she will always have a place there. My precious beautiful girl Jaddy xxx

I went out for a walk

It was so lovely in the sun.

Chasing the leaves, I was having so much fun.

Jumping and climbing I could have done it all day.

When I stopped to rest, I realised I had lost my way.

I love and miss you and want you to know,
it was nothing you have done.

I just got carried away with playing in the sun.

Please try not to worry too much about me.

I can look after myself, and in a way I am free.

Although I'll never stop looking for a way home,
we will never be apart.

I will always feel your love for me, deep within my heart.

It may be all we have for now, but it's enough for me.

Cause you'll never know when I'll walk through your door
and expect you to have my tea.

JADDY

YOUR SPECIAL ANGEL

Death is beautiful...
At least it is for me.
But I see you crying for me and
I want to touch your face with my soft paw
And tell you that I am still with you.
You just can't see me now;
Or feel my touch
Or hear my purr.
I can run and jump and play
just like I did as a kitten
Before my body was in pain
Hurting from the ravages of time.
How good it feels to be in this new world
Where there is no disease, no cruelty, no hurt.
But my heart aches for you.
I long to tell you that I am free;
I long for your caress.
One day we will be together again
United for all eternity.
Until then, talk to me with your soul
I will always be with you
As your own special angel.

Precious Love

The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.
Had I not loved so very much...
I would not hurt so much.
But God knows I would not want to diminish
that precious love...
By one fraction of an ounce.
I will hurt...
And I will be grateful for that hurt
For it bears witness to the depth of my love.
And for that I will be eternally grateful.

IN MEMORY
(Melody Collier)
♥Little cat, in a distant sky ♥
♥Where mice are friends and bluebirds fly♥
♥Where pain is forgotten and you can pass ♥
♥With leaping grace over green, green grass;♥
♥Little cat, will you catch a star ♥
♥And wonder, a moment, where you are?♥
♥Little cat, in a distant land ♥
♥Where nothing can harm you as you stand♥
♥And gaze at the clouds, so pure, so white; ♥
♥And all is glad with a fresh delight,♥
♥Little cat, in your newborn years, ♥
♥Will you spare a thought for my falling tears?♥

JADDY

At the Grave of a Fine Cat
May your whiskers be ruffled by only pleasant breezes,
May your bowls be filled with tuna and sweet cream,
May your dreams be blessed with legions of mice,
And most of all,
May you forever purr in peace.
Amen.

Beyond the Rainbow

Beyond the Rainbows much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
